I'm awake a little later than usual this evening for no reason really, but I just finished reading this great article on Everquest addiction called "I Kept Playing". Anyone who has known me for around 10 years (which isn't many of you) knew how much I got into this game. This article really hit home for me. I didn't quit my job and I managed to keep my girlfriend (now wife), but a lot of what this guy wrote sounded way too familiar. I worked with a lot of the people who played with me, so when I was working that's what I talked about, what I thought about, and what I researched. It did take up a lot of study time in college. I totally understand where he was talking about the people online depending on you and worry about you if you missed a few days. This is one reason I haven't started in on WoW (World of Warcraft) because I know how addicted I got to Everquest. Great Read!

I've heard of the game, but don't know anything about it. Was it the first fee based online game? My uncle's family seems addicted to World of Warcraft. They play it constantly and it is the main thing they talk about it. They even went to a gaming conference in California this summer.
